Get involved

How to start contributing to EpiAware.

EpiAware is early and we are actively looking for collaborators. If you care about composable modelling, infectious disease epidemiology, or building a Julia ecosystem, there is a place for you here.

Ways in

  • Discuss. Join the epinowcast forum to ask questions and talk through ideas — the best first step.
  • Try the packages. Use them on a real problem and tell us what worked and what didn’t, via a package’s GitHub Discussions or issues.
  • Contribute. Fix a bug, improve documentation, or add a feature. See the Contributing guide.
  • Bring a use case. If you have a modelling problem that composable tools could help with, open an issue or get in touch — it helps us prioritise.

Getting in touch

We are still working out how best to onboard new contributors, so for now the simplest route is to email or post on the forum, and we will point you in the right direction. Contact Sam Abbott at LSHTM, or open an issue on the relevant repository.

If you would like to build a substantial piece of the ecosystem, take a look at the project proposals for ideas.
